Translation: Normally pets are not permitted on our trails but we invite you to bring your favorite furry companion to the Nature Center for this special dog-friendly (and people-friendly!) event. Stick around for local singer-songwriter Maxwell Stern’s pre-release show for his upcoming new album “In The Good Light”. Show begins at 6pm. (Sets: 6pm-6:45pm\, 7pm-7:45pm) Please bring your lawn chairs and blankets!  \nActivities include:  \nLocal singer-songwriter Maxwell Stern: Hailing from the post-industrial shores of Cleveland\, OH and now located in Philadelphia\, PA\, Maxwell Stern has been crafting his own version of reflective\, punk-tinged pop-folk since the early 2000s. DESCRIPTION:July 10: Folk Garden Groove \nExperience the charm of folk melodies intertwining with the rhythmic cadence of nature. \nFolk musicians Paul Kovac’s Big ‘Grass Band: At a point in time\, Bluegrass music was one band’s way (Bill Monroe & his Bluegrass Boys) of trying to make a living\, and since it’s inception\, nearly 70 years ago\, Bluegrass has become an accepted form of uniquely American music\, a style quickly identified by the sound of it’s instrumentation\, singing & songwriting\, has stood the test of time\, and is now considered a traditional music form. \nContainer Garden Workshop – walk-ins welcome |REGISTER \nBring a packed dinner and enjoy 25% ice cream at the Duck Pond Gift Shop.  \nAbout the Band Paul Kovac caught the Bluegrass bug while in his teens\, learning to play banjo\, guitar & mandolin\, and quickly joined bands in an effort to ‘earn-while-you-learn’. Realizing that the older\, first-generation musicians held the keys to the kingdom\, he set out to see\, meet and play with as many as he could. Over the year’s\, Paul’s performed with Bill Monroe\, Chubby Wise\, Mac Wiseman\, Vassar Clements\, and countless others. These experiences have been the bedrock of his Bluegrass foundation.
