39th ANNUAL HOMEGROWNS SALE

SUNDAY, JUNE 13 | 12PM-3PM | NATURE CENTER AT SHAKER LAKES

The 39th Annual Plant Sale Day and Homegrowns Sale began as a fundraiser in 1982 by a group of volunteers known as the Friends of the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes. To this day, volunteers organize a beautiful selection of plant options, promote native landscaping, and organize Plant Sale Day activities. This annual event continues to raise funds for the Nature Center and unites the community as friends.

39TH ANNUAL PLANT SALE DAY

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

This year’s plant sale was the most successful yet! Despite cold temperatures on the day of the plant sale, we still saw more than 400 of you!

Prior to the catalog launch, over 800 of you attended our Bringing Nature Home virtual lecture series featuring priceless tips from local plant experts.

Overall, the sale netted over $45k, which directly benefits our educational programs and habitat stewardship. Our yearly Plant Sale provides the community to purchase beautiful, hard-to-find plants while imparting free, important gardening education to help your plants thrive.

Many thanks to committee chairs Mary Finley and Susan Strauss, the plant sale planning committee, catalog advertisers, and the 50+ volunteers that helped with the catalog order assembly and day-of sales! Thank you!
