The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes is the Ohio Hub for a national program, Youth Climate Institute (YCI). The primary goal of YCI is to build the next generation of climate leaders by providing resources to help high school students learn about real issues, actions and careers rooted in climate science. Teens who complete the program get a certification to help them in their career journey and everyone who participates gets opportunities to network with likeminded peers and hear directly from the experts themselves. YCI is the only national certification in the United States. We have over 50 chapters across 10 states. Join the network!
