YOUTH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

One Day Volunteer Opportunities (Year-round) We offer one-day volunteer opportunities for special events such as the following:
- Plant Sale Day
- Stewardship Saturdays
- Family Fishing Day
- Take to the Lake
- Hike and Run
Outdoor Adventure Camp (OAC) Youth Assistants (Spring Break and June-August)
The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes welcomes teens to assist with the supervision and education of campers attending Outdoor Adventure Camp (OAC) this spring break and summer. Volunteers participate in hikes, nature-related activities, games, and crafts while making camp an enjoyable and positive experience. Training sessions and guidance in camp games, activities, and camper supervision will be provided.

Youth Stewardship Assistants (June-August)
The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes welcomes teens to assist our land management staff with natural-area projects during the summer. Responsibilities include pulling invasive plants, trail maintenance, trash collection, and learning about plants and ecology. Training and guidance in native plants, land management techniques, and trail maintenance will be provided.
