KAY MESSAGE
THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

The Nature Center’s community outreach, education programming, and natural resources management activities have grown over the last five years, as has the organizational budget. After implementing budget reductions, staff furloughs, and salary cuts in FY2021 due to the pandemic, the Nature Center returned to full capacity in FY2022. NCSL ended FY2022 in a strong position, with positive cash flow and revenues slightly exceeding costs. The annual benefit and summer camps sold out and exceeded revenue projections. Throughout FY2022, there was an increase in new members who donated $50 to $1,000 as well as an overall increase in revenue from member donations.
We believe the excitement generated by our outdoor classroom improvements has led to this increase in our donor base. This positive momentum will aid us as we enter FY2023.
