Cold and winter weather often keeps us inside. At the right temperatures, that is certainly smart; however, it is important to your health and well being to enjoy the outdoors even in cold and winter temperatures. When we are stuck inside, germs multiply and are more likely to be shared. Getting outdoors into fresh air helps keep us healthier. As a rule of thumb, as long as the temperature and/or windchill is not below -19, get out and enjoy! That may seem colder than some of us have been taught, but believe us – as long as you dress appropriately with a hat, mittens, a warm winter jacket, and warm socks and boots – you’ll be all set to enjoy nature year-round!
