As the holiday season approaches, the window to find unique gifts in enough time begins to dwindle. Forget ordering online, running from store to store or purchasing another random stocking stuffer. The shelves have been stocked in our Duck Pond Gift Shop with items for nature lovers of all ages. We’ve got you covered this holiday season with hard-to-find items that give back.

When you purchase an item from our gift shop, you’re not only supporting the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes but you’re also supporting other nonprofit organizations, communities and local individuals. Many of the items selected for our shop are thoughtfully chosen, for they give back to those who created it. Fair Trade, handmade and locally sourced items are the gifts that keep on giving after the holiday season has passed.

    Made by Nicaraguan artisans, these nature-inspired ornaments will make a beautiful addition to a tree this year.

The Duck Pond Gift Shop is located inside the Visitor’s Center is open during business hours (Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.). Our members receive a 10 percent discount on items.
